I live on a farm in PEI Canada, can I shoot NON-RESTRICTED guns on my property?

I know about public nuisance and noise laws etc. but it's not a loud gun (savage .223) and the field is surrounded by at least 500m of trees in all directions so I know it could be done safely. However a friend of mine thought the RCMP might have a problem with that and I'd like to avoid any fines etc.
