Is there a time limit for my stay in the US untill "uncle sam" will try to start collecting taxes from me?

If you are not earning income in the US or opening a bank/investment account that would be earning income, then you shouldn't owe taxes to the US. This isn't a time limit on how long you stay, at least from a tax standpoint.
