What do you think ? is this safe fr my dog ?

we have doctored with our lab/shar pei mix for a while now, he has a pressure point sore on his leg that he keeps licking at and its become raw and sore. he has destroyed the cone that goes around his head and he keeps licking the medicated sav off. since he is a lab mix he has HIGH anxiety, we try and follow Cesar Millans methods but hes to hyper. he's 4 years old and the only thing that the vet can suggest for his anxiety and obsession when it comes to licking the sore, is t put him on prozac aka fluoxetine or reconcile. is this drug safe ? many ppl who r on it say its great but others say there are major side effects, im worried it will make him crazy in the long run. the cost is low about 50 bucks a month, but its just we don't want him becoming different, and one reason the vet suggested it is cuz she uses it for her anxiety. but again animals and humans r different, i need help in deciding this.
