How long do Shar pei lab mixes shed?

My mom doesn't want my dog Paddy in the house because he is shedding a lot, and i want him in the house so i don't have to worry about him in the backyard if a storm comes and stuff like that. He's not a year old yet and he's up to my knees. I just want to know when his shedding will stop. I want it to stop before winter so he won't have to be out in the cold. Thanks For Your Answers!
