I caught my dog eating grass?

I took my dog (Labrador mix with Shar Pei) outside to play and she was running around and playing and she went to potty and then I saw her eating grass.... Is this dangerous? Is it unhealthy? I have heard that dogs do this all the time... Is there a reason that they would eat grass?
